The problem with getting ignored on hook
I am completely disgusted how I am the only one in a game who saves people off hook, no literally, when someone gets hooked and if they had kindred, the other 2 survivors would still be working on a gen for over 40 seconds when this guy needs saving, so I have to be the one to save everyone off hook before they hit their next hook phase. BUT IF I GET HOOKED, i would see NOBODY COMING FOR ME, until I reach the next phase, AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW, NOW IM DEAD ON MY NEXT HOOK, BECAUSE MY STUPID TEAM IGNORED ME, even if i run kindred, they would be to fixated on what they're doing. Getting really sick and tired of getting blatantly ignored on the hook. BUT, There are exceptions I give, like, if you're being chased and there is nothing you can do to save me, OR if I'm getting camped/tunneled, OR we are in a 2v1 together and you want to find hatch. Other than that, whoever ignores me on hook, goes on my list of gamertags called "People to ignore on hook."

The problem is a lot of killers camp, and if the survivors rush to rescue him, all they do is feed the killer. The only way to punish campers is to work on generators.
Kindred doesn't even really help, as at level 3 it only reveals for 8 meters. Most killers dont FACE camp, they camp from a distance, to try and lure other people in.
Obviously not all killers do that, but the way to punish camping killers is to gen rush. The way killers stop gen rush is to not camp; but camping becomes a great way to punish survivors who rush to save someone.
It becomes a kind of rock paper scissors game.

i feel you there.
however, i personally as a survivor stay at gens instead of running in for the rescues, as A: i dont want to get myself in danger by getting the killers attention, B: dont want to waste time on gens (to eigther a camper or by running over there to see you getting rescued by someone else) and C: i believe in my teams greed for points. 1.5k points is a lot, so i doubt many will leave these be and rather do a, much longer, 1.25k point action.
still sucks when all of the teams players think like that and your the one on the hook.
happens to me too, but i personally only get annoyed when i see my team doing literally NOTHING.
like, running around, crouching around or standing in a locker...0 -
Perks to either avoid or run the killer or perks to better help the team by healing or giving them buffs are honestly better to have than Kindred. That perk is only good when you're on the hook and while playing solo, the last thing you want to be is hooked. I usually treat it as a death as often other survivors won't come over (there's no way to communicate that you need someone to come and that you're not being camped) or you'll be farmed/camped and tunneled.
Still, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. I do good saves, regardless of what they do towards me. Though I will say I'm tempted to keep farmers on the hook 'cause eff them.

For instance: Struggle phase, on the killer's shoulder, in dying state, completing 5 generators, healing to the healthy state (exception SC), and etc.
I have a "Survivors to mori/camp" list if they send hate mail to me or if they sandbag me on purpose.0 -
I used to not go for unhooks at all.
Mainly cause, if i went over to them, someone would beat me to it.
So my time was most of the time better spent just repairing.0 -
