Legally Blind Player- Perfect Build

I originally played Identity V and made some friends on there that asked me to try Dead By Daylight. I typically play more cartoony graphic games because they are easier to see. I will admit that I have struggled with DBD. The game is visually a lot darker. I lose a lot, but that just makes me more determined to find a way to get better. Every loss is a lesson learned. The things I've struggled with are: Kiting, Finding Generators, Being Able to Tell Where the Killer Is, Being Able to Hit Skill Checks While Also Looking at My Surroundings, etc. Things that you kind of need your eyes for. So, I've played and played with different perks to see what would help me compensate for the things I struggle with. I think I've finally found the perfect build- with two perks that are interchangeable depending on if I use a map offering or not and know the potential map ahead of time. I am writing this post because I know that I'm not the only visually impaired person that plays this game. I hope this helps because I'm really excited about it.

Technician: This helps with me missing skill checks when I am having to look around. It also really helps if someone is at a generator with me because it ensures that I will not accidentally put them in danger. Though it does cause a loss of progress, it's negligible as I more often than not hit the good skill checks and quite often the great ones.

Windows of Opportunity: This one is obvious. It helps me see where the vaulting locations and pallets are so that I can always try to plan ahead. It doesn't always help and sometimes it actually makes it more difficult to see, but I have noticed that when I play other characters and don't use it (trying to get the Adept achievements) that I do far worse when being chased. The reason I say that sometimes this perk makes it more difficult to see is that on certain maps I can't see the other walls that aren't highlighted so I often find myself in dead ends which allows the killer to get me. It is taking a really long time to memorize the different maps and their variations, but I know that will come eventually. Regardless of the difficulties, I would still rather use this perk than not.

Alert: This perk is probably the most valuable to me. A lot of times, the Killer is able to completely blindside me. I can't always see where they're coming from when my heart is beating. I try to hide, but it doesn't always work out if I hide on the side the killer is located. Being able to see the killer kick generators and break pallets then seeing direction they are headed gives me the information that I need to plan way ahead like change generators, move to a safer location, heal someone, heal myself, etc.

Now for the two that I switch out: Deja Vu and Detective's Hunch: Deja Vu ensures that I at least know where three generators are as well as gives me a 6% repair speed bonus. I like to use this one on outdoor maps as I have an easier time finding non-highlighted generators. Detective's Hunch I like to use in buildings or outdoor maps that also have buildings like Springwood.

I'm still working on a killer build that allows me to be an effective killer, but I definitely really enjoy my survivor build. I hope this helps.

    You are very cool...

I'd much rather play with you than most of the lightweight survivors of today, who quit playing just because they lost a normal m1 killer mind game at shack.

I am curious if you've tried Empathy instead of Alert? You can deduce the killers position based on other survivors being chased, so can avoid the blind side. Though you might need to HUD to help you there if you can see it?

This might also help you find a wounded teammate to heal them, and also if you need healing yourself.
