Why do they do it
Why do people ready up and go through all the motions to get into a match only to be too scared to play the game and only want to hide in a corner? I've been playing killer all morning and switched to a few solo games we get down to 2 gens left and everyone just wants to hide instead of play the game they would rather the whole team die than risk being caught on a gen I just genuinely don't understand why someone would spend money on this game to look at pixelated rock textures or trees the whole time

Might have an archive that that requires them to play that way, for most survivor archives you need to throw the match in some way.

Yea maybe, it normally doesn't happen this much but today is one of those days

Simple: Escape Based Matchmaking. They know their MMR will drop if they die, so they try to avoid dying as hard as they can, because if their survivor MMR drops low enough, they will be matched with potato survivors in soloQ and eventually enter the Elo hell.

Nobody knows.
I had a Chris in my game lately who had Hyperfocus and Stake Out and decided to not do Gens at some point. He let 3 people die while doing nothing.

That's exactly the type of thing I'm seeing, they could have a brand new part and still be afraid to touch a gen
