Thoughts on DBD Balance
I think BHVR could definitely learn from other very successful game studios about balancing a game while not also removing the fun from the game. Take for example Helldivers, a completely unrelated game, but has in common, balancing the game while keeping the game fun. I personally feel BHVR lets balancing the game totally drown out whether it’s fun for players to have their favorite perks cmade completely unusable.
I’ll leave this thought with a quote from the CEO of Helldivers.
"Hey, yeah I think we've gone too far in some areas. Will talk to the team about the approach to balance," Pilestedt, CEO of Areowhead Game Stuios, said. “It feels like every time someone finds something fun, the fun is removed."

Once they realize their vision of the game is impractical we might get somewhere. Until then it's business as usual for BHVR.

Thing is Helldivers isnt a PvP game, and there arent really any other 4v1 games to learn off of considering DbD has always been at the top of the genre. You also have to take into consideration that both sides have 2 completely different objectives, which weve seen doesnt really work in a multitude of games. There is always one side that is favored more than the other no matter how small.
With all that being said Id say DbD is pretty balanced for what it is, and the pacing of said balance has definitely increased over the years. Could it be better? Absolutely, as there is always room for improvement.
