Pop
Okay so just hear me out here please. Should pop be nerfed? That is a question for the ages but NOT what this post is about. What I want to know is this: can someone please explain to me what is "easy" about finding a survivor, chasing them, hitting them, hitting them AGAIN, picking them up, taking them to a hook, running to said generate THEN kicking it. Someone please explain to me that if this is "to easy" to get then what in the holy bananas is "hard"?
Now I don't really care if the perk should be nerfed or not, I want to know what in the hell is "to easy" about getting it??? Seriously what in the world is "harder" than catching a survivor??? A 360 no scope billy chainsaw from across the map!? HELP ME UNDERSTAND PLEASE!

Since it's any hook that works, this perk doesn't require you to go out of your way to activate, you just play normally, hook survivors as usual and kick gens when you have free time. And there is no stupid token system, which already corrupted a good half of perks, too, you can do this after every hook. An example of a perk hard to activate would be 5-stack Pentimento or a 5-stack Devour Hope.

I distinctly remember Pop used to be considered healthy for the game back in the day, because it was only useable if the killer progressed their objective, rewarding skilled play and disincentivising bm.
Now, the game is a little different. There's less outright BS than before (old keys and mori's), but most killers tend to immediately opt for hooks when they get the chance. Because of this, and the fact that killer is stronger than it was before in terms of Basekit stats, Pop now feels like it can give too big a reward for something that will ideally be happening at least 11 times that match for the killer (the last one is useless but that doesn't really change the point).
I think the nerf was warranted, and the new Gen Regression system should hopefully keep it from being bad going forward.

i dont understand the hate to Pop it was 30% to CURRENT progress applied to gens 60% and below progress is nothing it only had real value when gens were at 90% progress now im just gonna use Grim Embrace where you can't do gens for 100 seconds hope survivors are happy

You just get the perks activation by doing your objective. How can it be any easier?

I just wish they could do a middle ground. If 30% is too high and we already know 20% was to low then why not try pop at 25%? Even better just make it 20% total progress like how it used to be instead of being current.

The thing is it's stronger by default because of the gen kick change. You get more regression from the kick itself and it's much harder for survivors to stop the regression so you get even more regression from that.
