add killer equivalent of flashlight saves

if the killer hits a survivor within ten seconds of a generator being completed this should un-repair the generator and regress it to 50%

this would counterbalance survivors being able to remove one of the killer's main game objectives retroactively with a single action, by allowing the killer to do it to survivors as well

    This would completely ruin the premise of flashlights being there for a punish against greedy killers who snowball games. They're meant as a mechanic for punishing killers who aren't being observant and protective enough of their down in an open space, and this especially becomes apparent when pallets are exhausted and all survivors have are windows with no ability to chain to a different loop.

    If you had this in the game, all any killer would need to do is use a stealth perk and a info perk like tinkerer to wait for a gen to complete, and immediately appear out of nowhere to hit a survivor and completely shut down players when they sacrificed time to complete the gen.

    If the killer hit a survivor within ten seconds of completing a gen, all they would have to do is use Tinkerer or something to know when it's almost done, and an undetectable perk to sneak up and get a hit. Stealth killers would benefit the most as well.

    Killers already have counter balancing by having the ability to suppress people off generators and make them regress. And there are punishment perks like Dragons Grip where if they interact with a generator that gets trapped, they become exposed and even scream revealing they interacted with it.

    The idea of flashlights being in the game is a punishment mechanic against the killer for greedily picking up someone without being aware of their surroundings in an open area when there are no pallets for protection.

    And if by chance you did the polar opposite and took flashlights out, all killers would need to do is run pallet smashing builds to completely strip the map of resources, and then just snowball people by rapidly picking them up. The ONLY resource players would have would be windows, and those only go so far when you can't safely chain them with pallets to make distance to a new loop.

    It is already in the game. It is called Pop goes weasel and Scourge hook: pain res. It just doesn't regress gens 50%.

    They are called killer addons lol thats your answer to survivor items.

    And if thats not enough Lightborn and franklins and overwhelming presence exist

    This may be one of the worst comparisons with actual votes I've seen in this forum. Since when are downs the "main objective" of killers? A flashlight save doesn't retroactively remove a hook state, it stops/delays the hook state from happening.

    Which sounds much closer to gen regression, which is a thing already in the game.
