Maybe, definitely looks weird lol. I know whenever Huntress falls from any height your camera goes inside her for a couple seconds and that’s been like that for a few months. So they probably know about that stuff but have more important things to worry about.

DbD models aren't meant to be seen up close. The camera is always several feet away and the player isn't really gonna focus on the model when they often need to look elsewhere. So you can cheat a bit with weight painting or animations as you don't need them to be all that great.

A lot of the time with clothing you just have a sleeve clip into itself. Can be seen with Wesker since he likes to bend his arm while in a lobby. You can do the same with skin as well. But some 3d artists go a little heavy with blending the weight painting and that causes joints to compress or collapse in various ways. Dredge's head also has a hard edge and folds it's mouth in a painful way when looking up/down. Another example of DbD modeling is the hands. Almost EVERYONE in DbD has big beefy hands. Larger than normal at least.

It's really common in gaming to have weight painting be a little jank. Nearly impossible to not have it really. So game devs tend to avoid certain actions or just keep the camera at a distance when possible.

Ever notice that game characters rarely if ever lift their arms over their heads? Like at all? It's because the shoulders are a pain in the ass to make right. You'll always have something clipping or warping when lifting arms higher than a T-pose either in the arm pits and/or at the top of the shoulder. A LOT of the time armor also bends when it shouldn't. Metal plates bending as if they was cloth around the joints.

If you look for these things, you see it EVERYWHERE!
