How do green glyphs work?

The archive description says they spawn when survivors are hooked or generators are repaired fully. I'll scavenge the entire map for them and I'll only get a couple despite numerous gens popping and people hooked. I know that other survivors (and killers I think?) with the same challenge can steal the green glyphs from you, but I seriously doubt the slim chances of it consistently happening during multiple games. This may just be a bug honestly, but let me know.

    On some maps there seem to be very few green glyphs.

    I know what you mean - sometimes i search and search and don´t find any. When endgame starts they are highlighted and sometimes there is only one…

    I don´t really get their spawn logic also.

    I often do them with Wraith as he is fast to search the map.
