Tips on how to properly use Oni?

I'm trying to find fun, and get out of being a SM main so I don't get tbagged every match, but I remember using him a little and felt his dash is a lot like billy, but it was only once, and I was on console, and still am, how should I play him? and what should I use?

    I play him a good bit. All the Killers have a strength you want to stack. His is actual auras, if you use Bloody Glove and Splintered Hull which does two things. Bloody Glove lets you see auras of survivors who get near a blood drop, Hull makes them bleed more so it puts more blood drops out there. Combine that with Nowhere to Hide and Lethal Pursuit maybe Nurses Calling and you can run the map. You keep hitting them and letting them run, spread the blood drops all over the map, soon it's lighting up like a Christmas tree. You'll see survivors all over the map moving and Lethal Pursuit adds 4 seconds to the aura as well.
