Lost out on BPs & grade progress as Killer after server crash
[PS5] Was playing as Huntress on Toba Landing, and it was a fairly standard match; had hooked all the survivors one or two times each, there was 3 gens completed with the 4th on its way, and there was no lag or rubber-banding that I could see (on my end anyway).
I had just sacrificed one of the survivors & I headed towards a gen that had some good progress on it. But as I go to kick it, the animation doesn't play and I'm frozen in place. The game wasn't frozen - the gen's pistons were still going, one of my perks' cooldown timer was dropping, and I could see all the animated plantlife on the map move as per usual. But I couldn't move, couldn't look around, couldn't bring up a hatchet or make an attack.
After a few seconds of this, a loading screen popped up, then the error message reading something along the lines of "connection to dedicated server lost" or something along those lines. Was a bit annoyed at the crash but I knew it was a common enough thing so I didn't pay it much mind until I looked at the post match cards; I had earned no bloodpoints in any category, had recieved no medals and no xp. But when I look at the scoreboard, the survivors had all earned their bloodpoints (and I assume their xp, medals, grade progress etc) despite the fact every one of us had the DC icon beside ours names. See attached image.
TLDR: Everyone in the match DC'd due to connection loss but I'm the only one who didn't recieve any BPs etc
Has this happened to anyone else? Or have I misunderstood how the servers work or something?
