Is Hit Verification still a thing
Does hit verification still work in DBD or did the Dev's get rid of it…. I've had so many hit that should have never hit me but they do….. This is with having 40 m.s. ping and less so it's not my internets problem……

Hit validation is still a thing. A few patches ago it was extremely noticeable on Huntress. A 40 ms ping is pretty low indeed but think about how close many of these hits actually are. Even the smallest latency can have a huge impact when it's only a matter of a few inches whether or not the hit actually does connect. It's also dependent on the killer's ping since they can only play around what they see on their own screen.

No, it's not a thing. Hits are only validated on killers side. That's why killers like the Huntress can get some really goofy hits and every killer can get hits from across the map. Ideally hits should be server validated but because that would make things more skill based a lot of killers don't like that.

it's definitely not a thing, not anymore at all.

It don't feel like it's working like before.
When you watch Hens or Ayrun latest videos, they are often surprised that hits connect. These are player with over 10k hours.

People will lie and say it doesn't exist, but it very much does. The problem is it's validated on the killer's view + there is a small window of time as a pallet is falling before the stun happens even on same ping you can get hit.

Are such hits not validated?
