Does wesker really need a 40 meter TR?

His power doesn't exactly use the extra range in any way. It makes very annoying TR builds. And if they did it because of how fast he can move we already have had blight and billy who can cross faster and farther than him. Seems weird for him to have a abnormal TR when we were trying to push for normal terror radiuses (that's why pig lost her 28 which was kinda unique and actually helpful to the character). So what do people think about it?

Wesker being able to better utilize TR perks is a neat bonus and don't really want to see that taken away, because I'm tired of killer perk synergizes getting gutted.

I mean he'd still be able to do it with a normal one it just wouldn't be as long with distressing. The claurophobia distressing unnerving sloppy can be fairly annoying to face against on smaller end maps.

Yeah, i was about ask the same question, i really hate Wesker's 40 meters TR and see no point in it. On some maps you just hear it 80% of time and it's sooo annoying. Like you mentioned, there is no sense in it, when Blight and Billy have 32 meters TR and have way stronger mobility.

IMO yes. Given how much distance he can cover and how quick he is, a Wesker with 32m Terror Radius and possibly M&A is scary.
That being said, I think that BIlly also warrants a 40m Terror Radius. A Hillbilly in Overdrive is basically on you when you hear his Terror Radius, even tho you have more feedback since you have the Chainsaw Sound.
I also think that Pig can easily get back her 28m Terror Radius, which would also make her better to use (e.g. I run Whispers and M&A on her and I would gladly take another Perk instead of M&A). In the end, streamlining the Terror Radius so that it is consistent is not the case anymore (Wesker has 40m, Slinger has 32m…just as examples)

This build has nothing to defend against gens and doesn't really do much if survivors just don't heal in the first place or if they have tools to heal health states like Inner Healing.
You can also do the same thing on Doctor even though he only has 32m TR as he has addons to increase the TR. And doctor is more innately annoying with the same build on a small map due to his power affecting the location and direction or skill checks.

Wesker's power is not much better than just walking there are killers with way more map mobility that can lead directly into a hit/down with 32m.

I think he does need the 40m, yes. His power can quickly cover a lot of distance and I’m not sure the 32m would give survivors adequate warning. The Coulrophobia + Sloppy + Distressing build is a little annoying to face, yeah, but it’s a little more manageable now that Sloppy is on a timer.
Maybe hot take, but if anything I think Billy’s TR should be 40m now too (or at least during overdrive), for the same reasons.

Better question: Do you want him to use 4x slowdown instead?
I think that his 40m TR is likely an experiment from BHVR to test how a high mobility killer with strong chase power deals with a large TR and if there are any major problems with it. I guess they maybe considered changing Blight and Nurse (and mybe Billy) in a similar way.
I don't see those "annoying TR" that often. I don't know why that should be a problem.
