An idea to Make ruin base kit

My idea to solve the gen problem is rather than some crazy idea of lots of regression

What if we just made ruin base kit at 50%speed this alows slow regression of gens without needing perks or waisting 1 of you 8 kicks on a gen that like 2 % it would take about 450s for a 99gen to fully regress. Probably longer. But it would make the game more fluid and finally allow a perk slot to be available

Ruin as it is now should be basekit. It’s not even close to being worthy of being a hex perk. The Last. Ruin and Undying was the healthiest meta this game had.

It encouraged killers to not camp so they got ruin value and it gave survivors a side objective or they could try to just power through gens. They should bring it back.

Thats a good Idea. But this need a downside for Camper Like, the "perk" IS in Pause for the time a Killer is 5 sec in the near of He hooked survivor.

The downside Is if your camping the speed I'd slow enough that it gonna get finished because your not pressuring anyone

50% Ruin base kit would be a nerf to killers though… No more gen kicks means no more -5% regression and the base regression speed is 100%. Base kit Ruin with 50% of that regression speed would be a joke. That's 0.125 charges per second. So for a gen to lose 5 seconds of progress, it would need to regress for 40 seconds.

Simply kicking the gen already provides 4.5 seconds worth of lost charges and the remaining 0.5 charges will follow in the next 2 seconds. Meaning, instead of having to regress the gen for 40 seconds you would only need 3.8 seconds now. You would need to wait more than 10 times as long to get 5 seconds of regression.

Sorry I forgot to mention the part we're you can still kick gens to increase the regression to normal and applying the 5% instant regression

The problem I have is the same with basekit Corrupted Intervention: On weaker killer it is fine but on stronger killer it will be too oppressive. It's also map depented which means on some map it can be easy to find and on other maps it will be difficult to find. I also have no problem with the 8kick limit because I never reach it - only if I use Eruption but this is rather Eruption and not the limit which is why I hope they buff the perk. Next, basekit Ruin means Pentimento will get a huge buff and finding Pentimento in SoloQ can be really hurtful unlike in SWF. So the gap between them would become bigger. Same for searching for Ruin.

I agree generator speed or defending generators can be really difficult, especially for weaker killer, and I think a slightly basekit can be helpful but it is hard to find this little that is neither too strong on the strong killers and nor useless for the weaker killers.

A solution I came across these days would be every killer have an individual value for regression kick and the amout of charges the gen losts per second.
You get weak killers like Trapper or Freddy and give them (just gonna throw random number here) 10% on kicks + 0,5 charges per second lost, but stronger killers get lower values.

I don't see major cons into this except BHVR using their precious numbers to say "hey, Nurse has a very low kill rate, so she should have one of the highest values for the regression basekit".

Interesting mechanic but how would this work with perks like Overcharge and ruin ect

    Have no idea too XD.
The post went as far as suggesting this so killers would be less inclined to use too much gen regress perks.

FFair Enough I still expect people to run 4 slow downs because why not but I enjoy running like 2 or 3 chase perks and would like to have som utility or aura perk instead of a slowdown

I always loved Plaything since I've started to play DbD and after I've discovered how well it combos with Pentimento… I went to heaven perk.
For some time I too switched to the Gen Slow Meta for some reason I still don't understand because recently I got tired of this crap and decided to run my beloved combo again and my win ratio went way higher.
This was like two months before D&D patch that nerfed gen slow perks even more.
