What is supposed to happen if an awake survivor falls asleep while waking up an asleep survivor?

I played against a Freddy and my Sleep Timer was almost full when I started waking up my teammate who was already asleep. My timer filled up and I fell asleep while still in the process of waking up my teammate, but I was still able to finish the action and wake them up. Is this intended, or a bug?

99% sure it's intended or just left in, I've had this happen playing Freddy b4 an it seems fair to let the survivor finish the animation. (I'm no dev so could be wrong)
This would definitely be an interesting topic to bring up during a Freddy rework.
