Any plans to address the rank system?
Hello Folks,
Been playing casually for the past few months however simply can't invest enough time to get 'ahead' with the current ranking system. Invested 330+ hours overall so have a good feel for the game.
Went from rank 15 to 9 this month. Reset removed almost all progress putting me back to rank 14. Its ridiculous. A system where 90% of the casual player base cant make meaningful progress is simply not fun. I was enjoying the increasing difficulty but will be back to playing with inexperienced players yet again.
Does anyone know if BHVR is looking into addressing this?
Hard to believe that an MMR system couldn't fix this. Heck, League of Legends can place players after 10 games. DBD seasons reset way too fast and are extreme in the amount it sets a casual player back.
On a side note to provide a window for players to experiment more freely there could be an unranked lead up 'preseason'.

Actually the problem of the current ranking system is that you rank up too fast.
Yeah the monthyl reset and no incentive to rank up are also problems^^Its significantly harder (more skill required) and significantly more time consuming to rank up in Leauge of legends than in DBD

My main concerns with the rank system is that it discourages trying out new characters. I'm not the greatest survivor around, highest is rank 7, but it felt like a punishment switching from my prestiged Kate over to Adam to get the Deliverance perk, and it isn't even that bad for a Survivor. It doesn't even seem like it would be fun to give the Clown or Legion a go around knowing I'll have very little to work with compared to what I'll go against.

ranking a joke anyway they need to add new modes so play that not this ranking mode.

rank up for achievement only. Who want rank up and vs good killer and good survivor
