Legendary skin switch visual bug

In an update that I can't remember right now, BHVR added a little fog effect when switching from a character to one of their legendary skins. (Like when you switch from a character to another character.)
In also in an another update I'm not aware of exactly, that fog effect was removed. I don't know if it was a bug, but it added more immersion to legendary skins, and I genuinely thought BHVR was going to start adding more emphasis on legendary survivors/killers. (For example, their own portrait on character selection and their own small bio.)
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or an intended feature, but it'd be nice seeing this back into the game! It felt like playing a legendary character actually felt like a new character.
