Hag & Trapper Rework
Make them more like Clown. With the tap of a button they can alternate between variations of the same power.
Hag: 5 Teleport Phantasm Trap. 5 Solid Phantasm Trap.
Basically make her add on with solid traps her secondary power, but with a reduced amount. 5 each. That way Hag doesn’t have to camp a 3 gen area, proxy camp, or slug everyone. If Hag had access to her solid traps too she could actually compete in the current meta. She can close gaps by warping to players. Then cut them off with the solid traps that blocks pathways. This would be balanced because Hag isn’t quick. It still takes time for Hag to rig the whole area in the way she wants, and survivors can remove her traps.
Trapper: 5 Bear Traps. 5 Barb Wires.
Barb Wires can be obtained by opening lockers. They can be applied to vaults, and downed pallets. When a survivor does a fast, or mid vault through the rigged location they become ensnared. Their movement speed is reduced until the snares finally snap from the tension (Think of Cenobite). If a survivor is already injured when they became ensnared they suffer from deep wound upon freeing themselves. Barb Wires can be destroyed by the Trapper’s basic attack. Survivors can also remove any Barb Wire by interacting with them. Slow vaults won’t trigger the Barb Wire.

Hag doesn't really need it.
But for Trapper, I like the idea. Maybe something to put a Trap on a gen?

what is the point of hag having solid traps if instant teleport traps are better in every way? the block traps looked like a beta version of hag where they were trying to nerf hag for being too strong.

That's exactly what I'm saying.
Hag has the exact same problems as Trapper (time to set up, the power can just be removed) except the travelling to pick up traps. But she is A tier while he is in C/D. Why? She can teleport through half the map when coming close to the traps. She has mobility.
There is a reason why Scarred Hand and Waterlogged Shoe have big benefits attached to them and are still considered bad. They both disable teleporting.

As long as a survivor is healthy a Hag can’t follow up after landing an attack. Unless they’re too deep in her trapped area.
You teleport to get a hit. Survivor with game sense run to other side where gens are done, and it’s safe. Reset. This keeps happening until someone inevitably folds.
Hag can’t do anything against this other than playing in all the ways that makes the trial unpleasant for all. I played her recently, and was like wow. I can’t ever enjoy this. That’s part of why no one plays Hag. Her power is interactive, but it isn’t engaging. Hag can’t follow up after her power works.
At least Trapper has base speed so he can pursue trapped players even if they get freed. Trapper also has many add ons that change how his traps work when he does catch someone. If not this perhaps buff her so when she lands a teleport attack she gains stackable haste for X amount of time.

Despite her mobility she has no options other than to sit at a 3 gen, and perimeter camp them. Along with any hooks she might get.
She was originally designed to use totems, but she can’t even defend them if they’re too far from the gens.
Trap based killers should have different kinds of traps available as basekit. They shouldn’t need an add on to change them altogether.
I made the same argument for Freddy. He should have an even mix of snares and pallets. The add ons reworked to give him an odd number of whichever traps the player prefers over the other. Instead of Freddy being forced to choose between the two. That’s just silly.0 -
You teleport to get a hit. Survivor with game sense run to other side where gens are done, and it’s safe. Reset. This keeps happening until someone inevitably folds.how does bodyblocking traps change this problem? It adds nothing to her kit and heck even nerf her trapping capacity for her good traps.
if your picking your 3 gen on the totem spawn your able to defend the perimeter to some capacity. Overall I'd say Hag is gimmick character whose gimmick doesn't work reliable vs SWF/good players. that is why nobody plays her. It all comes down the fact that DBD doesn't have good expose perks for hag to exploit/utilize to make her traps deadly. All she has is Make your choice, a perk that relies on your opponent to activate and Devour hope, a perk that requires charge-up to gain expose but Hag as a character is extremely passive. She can't brute force the stacks easily. Mint Rag is best thing she has going for her because it gives her some consistency in using MYC and some consistency towards defending devour hope.
Dragon grip is a perk that gives exposed and might work with her defensive 3 gen gameplay style but the perk is so trash that no one even considers it as an option along with many other crap exposed perks released over the years.
