Killers can bypass Decisive Strike (or any flashlight/pallet save) by Remote-Hook.

Killers can tunel you off hook, pick up - you get DS skillcheck, you hit and then you are put on Remote-Hook. Had this happened twice in one match and in some others.

The event is a tunel fest so far. GZ

Hop in a locker to force Decisive Strike. If you get grabbed while (slowly) exiting a locker, another Survivor can flashlight save you. From my experience this seems to bypass remote Hooking since it forces the Killer into a different (and longer) animation.

Also all abilities have a cooldown before you can use another anyways, and most Killer use the remote Pallet Break, which puts the other abilities on cooldown.

Remote hook has been so problematic in the first day of the event for me as a survivor main, I'm over wanting to play through it less than 12 hours in. Tunneling has been insane today with remote hook. It completely makes any sabo/hook/flashlight/breakout/etc.. builds worthless. Thanks for excluding entire classes of builds/play styles!

I've played a couple of killer matches and absolutely have had survivors flashbang save their teammates as soon as I had picked them up. I chalked it up to good timing on their part.

For the record, remote hook doesn't stop flashlight saves. I've seen multiple happen, and a few have happened to me while I was hammering the button to use remote hook.

I've heard conflicting things about whether or not it prevents DS. If it does, consistently, that's a problem and something they should fix for next time, absolutely.

I think with DS it depends when survivor gets skill check.

Basically skill check needs to be early (I don't know how much) for you to use it in time, otherwise killer can hook you.

I think it works even with normal hooking, but you need to be right under the hook, which is kinda rare to happen.

Remote Hooking doesn't stop DS, Flashlight saves, or Flashbang saves. It also doesn't do much against pallet stunning if you pick up in a bad spot.

Get creative. I've gotten saves off on Killers this event and I know I suck, I'm only 1k hours. If I can do it, I'm sure others can.
