Anniversary Event 2024 & tunneling
This is the second Anniversary event when tunneling during the event is so egregious it's almost unplayable and not fun at all. First day played 5 games, 2 was tunneling out survivor by survivor, on 2 games the killer disconnected because the unreasonable pressure on killers to get 4Ks and 1 was network disconnect. Three games on day 2, all of them was absolute tunneling survivor by survivor and there is not enough defense of that in solo que. One game was a network server disconnect, which is happening with way too much frequency.
(BTW, Tunneling is when the killer prox camps hooks and returns to the unhook to chase and rehook the person just hooked. A very successful strategy these days for killers, with very little defense in such killer favored map design around hooks. )

That happens in every event, sadly
Killers tend to play as scummy as they can, the worst part is now there's a remote hook, so killers can tunnel even more without any kind of counter

Why "these days"? Why are so many bland complaints about this littered with this recency stuff? It twas way worse before basekit BT and instant Moris.

I think you must be new, this is just how events are when BP is on the line.
I also need to remind you, it's rank reset week. EVERYONE is sweaty during rank reset week and events make it even sweatier. It's not just Killers doing it, they just happen to have an upper hand with it right now because remote hooking is strong.

@Ohyakno I don't disagree that there were hard times earlier, but every anniversary DBD turns into a heavier version of Fortnite. I remember everyone used to celebrate the Anniversary and they weren't so sweaty. @VantablackPharaoh91 - we are well past rank reset and if anything its worse.
Beyond tunneling and prox sampling remote hooking and remote destruction of palettes were insane choices by devs that takes counterplay away from survivors - especially solo queue. That with really open space maps that hurts the quiet mode in some chances. I just hope devs are listening.
