How do I find invitations?

So last year I was able to find invitations very easily. Usually collecting and seeing 2+ every game. However, this year I haven’t seen a single one in any trial nor have I seen any one else with one either.
What are my missing? I am using the offering so are other people, but I’m still not seeing any.

Are you playing in the event mode or regular mode?

when the event first started I didn’t know it was a seperate queue I had the same issue for two matches until I realized
