Deafened

The forgotten status effect only accessible through Knock Out, Flashbangs and that one Hag add-on none of which is used particularly often. It is perhaps so unused that it's the only status effect that doesn't show up in the HUD when it comes up.

When are peoples thoughts on this status effect? For those that don't know it gives you a tinnitus sort of sound and dramatically lowers the volume of everything else around you.

Personally I would make the tinnitus sound go away because it's extremely annoying and as someone with chronic tinnitus I don't wish that sound on anyone. But the noise dampening portion of the effect could have interesting applications on perks. For example it would be interesting if Wraith had access to it and it could throw off how close people think he is if people couldn't hear his bell as well, just look how good the bone clapper add-on is. Twins might also enjoy it to make it harder to hear Victor coming, there's more examples but that's just to point out it could have it's uses. You could also give survivors more access to it and it could help them lose the killer if they're injured, some people might not like it but iron will plus a new deafened perk could being back old iron will.

I think because it's not super useful and hard to implement well with stuff aside from what you listed. If i remember right it completely removed sound or something before and was changed.

Somehow I have this setting in mind, you can set your audio to 'deafen' mode, that you will not hear anything, but gain some other visual (heart beat or example, and more). So players who can hear not gaining extra advantage with audio combined with visual?
