Council of Singularity will now commence OP changes or no?

Personally i dont think so lots of QOL changes i hope they fix the issue if a 5% of a Survivor is hidden behind a gen or rock i can't mark them for whatever reason.

Soma photo became basekit and Emps got nerfed i think more people can be open to trying Singularity now and get more value from him

  • [NEW] The Singularity gains 3% Haste while in Overclock mode.
  • [REMOVED] Overclock’s duration no longer scales with the number of Slipstreamed Survivors.
  • [CHANGE] Increased Overclock’s base duration to 5.7 seconds (was 4.7 seconds).
  • [CHANGE] Stuns caused by Perks (such as Head On, Blast Mine) during Overclock mode will now cause Overheat.

As someone who is in no way a Singularity main but plays Huxley maybe once a week:

A lot of good changes although he’s sadly fundamentally quite map dependant and there’s no quick fix for that, I think the strength of this aim assist will play a big part in how buffed he is.

Basekit photo along with longer duration is just fantastic. Being able to destroy unneeded pods from a distance will also make adjusting your setups feel so much better because now you don't have to risk losing pods you actually wanted to keep.

I don't think Singularity will be OP I just think his accessibility will go up 10x and I welcome seeing more Singularity players in the future.

I still cannot believe they buff already overpowered killer (singularity) and make all his best addons base kit. But for much weaker and harder killer -knight they make huge nerfs and microscopic buffs

Agreed Singu needed to be more accessible and simpler these are perfect changes that we wanted the devs to do

Singularity had his own problems he can be god tier in the hands of some Singu mains but mostly these changes him more accessible and get more value for the newer or moderate players.

i do think the knight changes are pretty bad though

i understand that but buffing singu that much is too far and yes in the right hands he tier 2 or even 1,5.

I don't like that untaggable survivors will not be highlighted because I use the highlighting to find people who are hiding and for basic tracking.

The auto aiming to the nearest survivor might also be a hindrance for situations where I have a biopod aimed at a specific spot (like a hex totem) and a survivor closer to the pod than the totem pulls the camera away from the totem.

Other than that, everything else seems good! I hope people on the PTB test this out with a controller because these changes might function better on keyboard and mouse than a controller.

The duration is the same as before, if not shorter.

Previously how it worked was you had 4.7s base Overclock duration, and +1s for each Slipstreamed Survivor. They're changing the duration to it's minimum (which was 1 Slipstreamed Survivor, 4.7 + 1 = 5.7s).

Yeah. I would prefer if the devs would just made him more easier and less complicated to play

Hold up... overheat? Is that new thing they're adding to Singularity when stunned from a player perk. Only thing that comes to mind is Billy's overheat mechanic that his old chainsaw had and everyone hated it.

And does anyone have a link to all these changes? On mobile phone and I can't ever seem to find them unless they post the link/notice on YouTube.

I feel they typo and meant overclock mode

EDIT: Oh nevermind. Maybe by overheat they meant that it ends overclock mode?

When you hit an overclocked singularity with a pallet it breaks and his screen borders turns red and drastically slows down think that is overheat

The Singularity changes are all looking really good! I'd say that Hux was never a "weak" killer, he was extremely strong in situations that favored him. The changes are seeming to give Singularity players more opportunities to create situations that favor him.

    Thoughts on the individual changes:

The automatic aiming upon biopod activation is huge. It should dramatically increase the number of successful tags, given that survivors now have less time to break LoS. A lot of tags are lost because survivors hear the pod activating and are able to get to cover before the player can fully lock on. The slow decay could be big as well.

Biopod self-destruct is huge for time economy. Not only does it help with general pod management, such as "Oh, this pod's angle isn't as good as I thought, let's delete it," instead of "This pod is in a bad position, let me go over and manually remove it." It could also massively help with mid-chase pods. If self-destruct is implemented as a single button push, then a player could pod, tag, and self-destruct the pod, so they can get the survivor tagged without having to go back and remove the pod later. Overall, self-destruct could be a truly game-changing update for the Singularity, even if it doesn't look like it on the surface.

Killer instinct and audio from pods is going to make survivors much easier to track. Killer instinct will make it easier to orient yourself after exiting a pod, while the audio is going to make it easier to track survivors. Even if a survivor is not visible on the camera, hearing the noise they make will at least tell you what side of the map they are on.

The Overclock haste and the decoupling of Overclock duration from the number of survivors Slipstreamed will be huge, in my opinion. Soma Family Photo was the most popular Singularity add-on for a reason, as the extra haste made Overclock actually threatening for survivors. Now, playing against Singularity in overclock is going to make the survivor ask, "Am I going to spend the pallet to get him out of overclock, or greed the loop and risk being hit by a faster-than normal killer?" Typically, more experienced survivors just greed the loop because they have killer run speeds in muscle memory. Now, it'll be more dangerous to greed against the Singularity.

More aim assist is great, especially on controller!

Reducing reactivation time is great, and the reduction of anti-camp is a major win. Many Singularities will look through their cameras immediately after hooking to locate a new target, only to get hit with the anti-camp slowdown.

I'm super excited about the changes!
