Possible bug with mimic chest

I play on Steam.
This happened after I had attuned a hand of Vecna and opened another chest where I rolled a one. I hit the first skill check on the mimic chest and immediately got injured.
So possibly reproducible by attuning a hand of Vecna or the other legendary and rolling a one on a chest?
This is the first time this happened, but it was also the first time those criteria were met for me.
