Critique my billy
For those who have 10 minutes to spare i thought id post this. I started playing Billy back in 2017 Then dropped him when overheat released. (Console only until cross progression, PS5) Played him mostly for dailys then. And picked him back up for overdrive. I have a lot of stuff on him and pretty good handling on the basics. Personally i just find him finicky. Some hits that make sense to hit don't hit. Some that don't make sense to hit do hit (Look at shack hit later in the video lol). Was also trying out bamboozle with the new vecna vault perk since i know billy and windows. Two mistakes i know are probably gonna come up is my longest chase in the event where i could have gotten a down at a window. And When i lost a survivor for a few moments at shack. If you want to watch it id love to hear your thoughts. If not thanks for clicking on this anyway lol. This is the event so i know some stuff comes from just the event mechanics. Either way. Thanks! (Also realized the thumbnail somehow shows my stuff. Yeah im p38 on him rn. And i have a lot of addons and all perks on him lol)

I’m barely at the 1:40 mark but already just force the pallet drop. Don’t give up so much time trying to avoid it. It does break up the match flow but just try to learn to take it. If it’s too distracting/flow-breaking then try conditioning yourself by getting hit with pallets using Enduring.
Edit: I also like to get almost point-blank close to the Survivor before starting the chainsaw.
With the Nea, she was already injured so unless you are intentionally practicing the chainsaw I would just use the hammer instead.I only use the chainsaw:
- On healthy Survivors
- If I am trying to scare them into going a different way
- Movement
Edit 2: Okay, I finished the video. You did very well. I can tell that you started adapting to the way they were playing and once you warmed up it ended up being non stop pressure on the Survivor team.My main recommendation is to just eat the pallets. There’s no getting around it sometimes with good Survivors. It’s best not to give up any free time. Even if greeding on thrown pallets is addicting sometimes.

That's fair. I was testing with vecnas perk so I was afraid of a stun and I wanted a lopro hit lol.
Edit:and I kinda am a chainsaw only billy at heart unless I have to hammer.

Thanks lol. Like I do try to think ahead and react accordingly just sometimes I mess up lol. I got into a real good flow from the first 20 second hit and wanted to keep it throughout the match lol.

I mean, for something like that a bad game would be better.
But I highly dislike Lopro Chains and the Vecna-Perk, because it makes you way too scared of Pallets (because you want to avoid the longer stun AND want to get value out of Lopro Chains). And this shows sometimes in the replay and was already pointed out by HerInfernalMajesty.
I also have to agree to using the Hammer at some point. Not saying that you should turn into a M1lly, but if it takes longer for the Chainsaw to land a Hit, there is no issue with getting an M1. Faking the Chainsaw to make the Survivor run through the Pallet instead of dropping it (especially if they know you have Lopro Chains) and then M1ing them works.
Not saying to not go for Chainsaws, the more the better. But if they would have been more efficient on Gens this could have been a way harder game.

That's fair. Thank you! I could try a few games with enduring but I feel that'd also just get me to accustomed to running into pallets lol. I need to find a middle ground. And yeah I know lopro can be effective and have some cool moments but it definitely does have a impact to how accustomed you can become with it. And yeah this was a first time back in a bit game so I thought it'd be a good game to use since it had some good moments and some bad. But I wanted to show my overall style of play.

'Some that don't make sense to hit do hit (Look at shack hit later in the video lol).'
Maybe at 4:05 you should think these kind of hits 'don't make sense to hit' but it does because your can turn at the end of your chainsaw to cut someone around. This works as well to chainsaw someone crounching near to you.
At 1:10 : you probably have to learn what is the best 'direction of loop' (counter-clockwise I think) and what are the loops where you can make a turn.
On these loops (until 2:03), the elements of the environment can only make you to bump when you try to do your turn. So the best is probably to avoid to try to turn on it until your perfectly master your turns.
Or, you can try to force surv' to do some mistakes with some shorts forwards/backwards then to M1 instead ?
And remember, you are using Spiked Boots (yellow add-on to increase your turn rate) & the Low-Pro (to break a pallet and to make a injuring hit accross).
The Spiked Boots is good but you certainly can do the same thing without it. But it requires better timing.
The Low-Pro is good too but it is a bit tryhard and sometimes it is worst it (particularily in this mode) because you only injury the survivor, give him more advance & lost more time on him. This add-on is very situational & make you waste time for a smaller reward.
When I play Hillbilly I hate to bump myself against environment but I know I will do it anyways. So I take the green add-on for that, it reduces drastically the time to recover after a bump.
And about pallets, you can force survivors to use it if you have Enduring, because you can disrespect strong pallet then break it quickly (you have a power for that in this Event).
And using your chainsaw increases a lot your overcharge (4 uses without rev = approx full bar I think ?). Using the chainsaw during the overcharge changes your timing.
Finally you played on the 'good/best' map for Hillbilly. Remember, your games should be different on other outdoor maps (and I don't speak about the indoor maps like Lery's, Midwich or RPD :( )
I think you should try to train your turns on a custom mode against bots to practice your 90°/180° turns in the 2 sides, dealing with/without your overcharge but it is some muscle trainings. Honestly I think it is the most difficult to do & requires a lot…
I didn't watch something special around the Shack, except you bump against this dumb hook ('best placement for break the loop around, sirs Map Designers').1
