Weekly Free Gift Bug

I believe there is a bug currently regarding redeeming the free gift involving merging your account through BHVR website.
I logged on this morning and redeemed weekly gift. I then logged out and through the BHVR website merged my steam account. This then reset my weekly gift and I could redeem again.
