The Twisted Masquerade is particularly unfun for Xenomorph

While a lot of justified feedback has been given about how killer-sided this event is, I feel like I should mention my experiences on one of my mains, Xenomorph.

I feel Xeno is the only killer for whom the game actually gets harder in the anniversary. And one of those effects will linger after the event itself ends.

The event offering increases the number of chests on the map. This is going to be an issue for Xenomorph going forward, because of the logic for how Control Station spawns work. Control Stations spawn in areas where chests would spawn, but increasing the number of chests which spawn reduces the number of Control Stations xenomorph has to use.

As for the event itself…

The undetectable event does next to nothing for it, due to the nature of the turrets acting as proximity alarms. But the survivors still benefit from their stealth effects.

The speed boost event reduces the relative strength of Xenomorph's map mobility in its tunnels.

The party pallets are mostly a joke for most killers, but they create problems for Xenomorph. They're another obstacle around loops which can block the tail, and Xenomorph's FoV in crawler mode is low to the ground, and gives it trouble seeing over loops. This makes the survivor tactic of hiding just to the side of the pallet and camping it much more effective than against other killers, and makes the party pallets comparatively more effective.

Special mention for the Heal You/Expose You event. Xenomorph relies on tail attacks to get hits, and tail attacks cannot insta-down survivors with Expose on them. While of course it is possible to catch an unlucky survivor out when that event triggers, more often what happens is that a survivor I'm chasing which I landed a tail attack on will be spontaneously healed, while I have no extra ability to basic attack them if they play safe and run out the expose timer.

When I play killers other than Xenomorph, I feel bad for the survivors at how much free extra effectiveness I suddenly have. But Xenomorph has been pure frustration every match I've played, as I don't feel like I benefit from anything in the event, but my opponents have new powers to make my life harder.

Oh, one extra mention, which is mostly just a whinge than a huge issue and just one extra way in which Xenomorph suffers from this event:

One of Xenomorph's "fun" builds is to stack perks with the Self-Destruct Bolt to make it vault extremely fast and catch survivors by surprise.

Meanwhile, one of the survivor powers is to block the vault locations for killer…

So, you know, that kind of sucks. To run a "fun" build so I don't play "sweaty" for the event and then the survivors render my entire build useless with their offering.
