Let Survivors Crawl. (Oh and fix the lighting)
Right now, the general consensus among killers is that pallet looping is the worst thing in the game, and everyone is saying looping makes Survivors OP. They would like to see Survivors stop abusing pallet loops and go for stealth and jukes instead, "the way the game was meant to be played."
I propose that pallets and looping be nerfed further. Works for me. But instead survivors should gain some buffs to stealthing. I suggest two buffs to expand the game:
- Fix the lighting back to pre-2.4 patch levels. The new lighting is horrendous. Sorry. It is just terrible. Not only did the atmosphere change -- the game is now Dead by Noontime, not Dead by Daylight -- it also makes stealthing significantly harder. And yes I have the Claudette brown shirt. Sue me.
- Allow Survivors to crawl. Entering into a crawl will have a short animation and is not instant like crouching. In this mode, survivors move like they were dying. It is affected by perks like Tenacity. Maybe. Or not (introduce new Solid Snake survivor?). To get out of Crawl, there is another costly animation to stand up, and it will have a skill check of some sort -- in case you slip and fall down and make a loud nouse notification.
I do not know what needs to be done to nerf pallets but I say go, nerf looping (works for me and will make many killers happy) while expanding options for those who want to stealth and juke more, but realistically can't. (Juking is great and fun but only works 50% of the time at best).

No, don't nerf looping. They've already nerfed pallets enough, they should be focusing on giving a buff to mind games now, etc. Survivors aren't as OP as some seems to think. It's about knowing the map for both, playing with mind games, and avoiding strong loops if someone takes you to one. Chasing correctly (by taking tight turns) and keeping better track of where the survivors are/went is also helpful.
If survivors could crawl along the ground like they do while they're done, it'd be nearly impossible to find someone hiding in a game that is so time sensitive. I like the new lighting, too, though they need to fix downstairs areas as they get way too dark.

As a survivor main, I definitely agree that survivors aren't OP. But it seems Killers won't be satisfied until Looping is nerfed further. Oh and they also want to nerf Gen Rushing even more, I think they want NoEd part of the base Killer load out now forever on all games.
Crawling would be hard to find but I propose time animations getting down and up (as well as possible skill checks so you goof and make a noise as you slip), also note that when on the ground crawling is really slow so it's hard to go around doing objectives. Don't killers want to slow the game down? That will slow it down and give stealth a boost, something they've been asking for.
Perhaps the crawl shouldn't be as low as the dying state we currently have so it's not near impossible to find. Surely something can be done to find a middle ground that works.
The lighting on basement and certain indoor areas is already being addressed with the incoming patch. I still don't like it and would prefer the old lighting back. The game is quickly losing everything I liked about it when I started.

@Mochan They've already nerfed and fixed looping, they just need to give some tweaks to it. If anyone truly wants to nerf looping into the ground so that survivors could no longer run the killers for any amount of time, they're just being greedy. I agree with gen rushing to some extent. I think there should be more tiers to the objective so that you're not just sitting on a gen, holding m1 and occasionally hitting skill checks. NOED becoming part of the base kit will never happen. That's like saying DS should be part of the base kit. They're both really crutch and can give a bad player a win.
The skill check idea sounds interesting, but I still dunno about the idea overall. I know it can be rather hard when attempting to find a character while downed and I can only imagine it'd be worse if they weren't whining and crying. Though if they incorporate stealth skill checks, it may be cool to add it to things like lockers, etc. Where you'd be holding your breath and if you fail it you whine or start to panic and make a lot of noise.
If the crawl isn't as low as dying state, it might be fine.
Oh, I thought the changes to the lighting and the colors makes the game a tiny bit prettier. I don't really find it all that much of an issue, though I'm also not a stealth player. If my character can be seen, you see my character lol

Crawling should be a perk.

While I'm not of the bunch who say looping should be nerfed, as a player of this game I would love to be able to crawl as a survivor. I love stealth games and as it is, I have to bring Urban Evasion just to do such a thing. As a killer it would be funny to stumble onto a crawling survivor, then hit them and drag them to the basement.
