Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why Cross Progression Should Exist!

I've recently switched over from console to PC, and wish I had the option to transfer my PlayStation data over. This isn't an original idea, and many other games have found ways to do this through different mediums, like EpicGames accounts, so why hasn't Behavior found a way to make this work for their games?

I understand there are some concerns with licensing, Auric Cell purchases, and DLC's when it comes to transferring data, but do those same difficulties apply to DBD original characters? What about characters and outfits that were purchased with iridescent shards? Better yet, what about bloodpoint and iridescent shard balances, character levels and prestige, or devotion levels and MMR? Even perks can already be bought in the Shrine of Secrets with iridescent shards, which allows players access to perks without DLC purchases. All of these were earned by the player base through hours of grinding on various platforms, and cost Behavior nothing. Is it such a stretch to ask that this progress be transferable in some way?

At the end of the day Behavior is a company that needs to turn a profit to stay in business which we all want so they can keep their servers open, and we can continue to enjoy their game. Due to this, I think it's only fair that a copy of the game and licensed DLC's would need to be purchased for each platform the progress would be accessed on. This could potentially increase game and DLC sales across all platforms and encourage players who may have dropped the game because of lack of cross-progression, to come back.

Ultimately, my one voice isn't enough to make this happen, and for some people this is inconsequential. Regardless, I think it would be a huge benefit for the DBD community, and for Behavior as well.
