Is there something going on with Matchmaking
So matchmaking is acting a little more wonky then usual. It's taking a little longer to que which is fine because to me it means their finding a good lobby but it's more strange because I've died the whole time not even a pitty escape but it feels like the game is just ignoring it and not moving that mmr anywhere so basically I'm stuck where I'm constantly dying my teammates seem not bad but not good i mean most just give up on hook or DC 3 out of 5 matches so I need to know what it is happening because it wasn't like this before.

The entire state of survivor is terrible right now. I havent played since the event ended and have zero plans to. I'll play a game of 2v8 because I imagine there will be a badge or banner reward, but then I'll just keep waiting for the situation to improve.

The situation is out of control. If you play SoloQ or Killer, it's the same bizarre behavior of giving up or at the start of the trial the Survivors drop their item and point to a hook. Wild times indeed. I became so miserable in SoloQ that I switched exclusively to Killer and I'm just as frustrated.

For me it's being left on hook, or my team mates being left. I'll be across the map from the hooked person and the only one on a gen, and since I can see on the HUD the other two survivors aren't doing anything ill assume one of them is going for an unhook but nope. Person goes to second stage until I get there to unhook them. Then it's the same for me. The killer will be chasing another survivor and the other two survivors will just be standing around. No one comes until I hit second stage. If it's matchmaking or what, I don't know. Too many Killer mains think people are letting go because of them but I promise it's because of their team mates most of the time.

This is just now happening to u? (slight chuckle) im jealous
I been consistently getting early suicides/DC's for months. About 75 matches out of my last 200 have been this. I didn't even bother putting myself through the event. Two rank resets in a row as ash with survivor. it Is actually impossible to convince myself to go back in when i can just have a blast playing slinger. why play anymore when half the teams don't even wanna play themselves?

I don't think killer mains aren't capable of differentiate suicide and left on hook, most killer players will always check when a survivor has been rescued, there is far too much difference in immediately trying to self unhook and left to second stage without anything they can do

Those were just the examples I used specifically about being left on hook. My comments about team mates were in general. A survivor in chase who doesn't see a single team mate touch a gen before they go down, or a survivor sitting on a gen watching their team mates just open chests, do totems, or (as in one of my examples) having to do a gen and then run to help a hooked team mate who is about to die, are going to be pretty unhappy to remain in that game. Team mates who are healthy yet won't take a hit or aggro. Versing Pinhead and having to constantly do the box and/or be in chase, then put up with the chain hunt in chase, because no team mates want to touch the box. Those are more examples. My point is that you can't see what survivors see as killer.

Believe me it's easy to know when someone gives up and when someone is left to die. A killer tends to keep track of hook time, if only to know when at least one survivor has to be on hook duty instead of being on a gen or ready to flash.
It's not common (once every few nights) and usually from a beginner who had no business being in that match.
As a side note, on principle, I'll be sure to exterminate any survivor that should go for a save but prefers doing anything else (usually a gen). It's both to avenge the poor player and to avenge every time it happened to me.
(Because otherwise I usually give the hatch to the last one.)
