The current Knight changes are abysmal and need to be addressed (Cross post from Reddit)
As a long-time Knight main, I was excited when playing the PTB; however, the changes made between then and this live update are abysmal for the killer, and while I know my complaints are ultimately futile, this is important enough to me that I feel as though I should make my voice heard.PTB Knight was in a good spot all things considered; most people just wanted some small buffs in order to put him on par with other killers. Instead, for some unimaginable reason, each guard shares a cooldown, and on top of that, the cooldown is 10 seconds. For reference, Nurse only has a 3-second cooldown per blink, for a total of 6. This has to be one of the stupidest changes BHVR has made. I can understand not wanting to be able to summon a guard while one is out, after all, the killer should be punished for bad placement. However, the shared cooldown kills any ability for effective Macro play because you don't have the ability to follow up on guard hunts with another guard.
Additionally, the 3x hunt depletion multiplier is not necessary. I understand the point of it is to stop guaranteed hits. However, the strength of Knight is being able to flush out survivors. I can understand 1.5x. hell, I can understand 2x, but 3x makes it so you are wasting your power by trying to use your guards in chase. You are always, 100% of the time, better just waiting for Carnifex to come off cooldown and shred through a pallet. This update has failed to address the concerns that knight players have had with the killer since his release, and instead, BHVR has insisted they know better when they have a clear history of being either intentionally deaf to the concerns and criticisms of their player base or they utterly incompetent at updating killers.
Here are some simple fixes to deal with this:
- Reduce the hunt depletion modifier to 2x so The Knight can still attempt to chase with his guards while still allowing survivors to avoid hits with good play
- Reduce the shared cooldown of all guards to 5 seconds. There is no reason The Nurse or The Blight should have shorter cooldowns to their power when they are objectively stronger than Knight in every scenario
- If you don't want to reduce the cooldown, give every guard their own separate cooldown like they had in PTB to allow the knight to maintain his map pressure via guards

I agree with this whole heartedly, I was planning on make my own post to air some specific grievances of my own, but a majority of what's said here I feel addresses alot of the core problems I have with the rework.
