PC - Singulary EMP not Removing Slipstreams

Step 1: play a public match as survivor vs singularity
Step 2: get an EMP
Step 3: start charging the EMP near a biopod
Step 4: Immediately after a biopod shoots you and attaches a slipstream, release the EMP charge. The slipstream will NOT be removed.
I don't know if there is some lag or built in timing issue, or if that "invulnerability" was flipped around the wrong way. But I know I've waited at least a second or two after being shot, and it still did not remove the slipstream.
Character: Singularity. Survivor N/A
Perks: N/A
Map: N/A
Frequency: Happened to me in two games back to back. Doesn't matter if you (using EMP) or someone else gets shot by a biopod. When you follow the above steps, should happen every time.
