Hard to describe, but loops around pallets and corners prevent the chainsaw most of the time. If you're good with timing like myself; you can hide behind a pallet and throw it down when he is mid-charge, which stuns him. Remember that bloodlust is broken when the killer hits you, loses the chase or destroys a pallet. Loop him as long as possible to buy the other survivors time, there are multiple mind-tricks.
Standing by a pallet often stops killers so they can destroy the pallet after you throw it down. If the killer stops; do another loop.
If he is hugging you and revving the chainsaw you're doomed, the best thing to do is circle him like mad and hope for the best.
Lastly; if he is charging you from afar, drift to one direction and then cut a sharp turn in the other direction when he is close. I can't guarantee these will save you every time but they work for me now and again lmao.

With hillbilly, I try to avoid being in open areas at all costs unless I know he is engaged somewhere else. If he gets close to you with no vaults, pallets or any sort of cover, you are dead meat unless you get very lucky with a 360. You need to be aware of the map you are on and your surroundings, and by always hugging and looping in areas with vaults and other terrain you can effectively stop him using his power to its full potential and force him to try and go for a lunge instead - same goes for LF and his chainsaw.
Lockers are a risky mindgame so I wouldn't try and use those to avoid the saw unless it is a last resort. If he starts to rev his chainsaw when you reach a pallet, go around for another loop unless you won't be able to go around the pallet in time to safety. Besides that and what was said above, you just need to practice and use other common killer countering strategies.

I main Hillbilly and the most thing i hate is when the survivor junglegyms me or taking a sharp corner. Looping is still fine because Hillbilly still have his lunge.
