Dead by Daylight is running. Please quit it during the sync process to avoid errors.

I have closed both steam and dead by daylight, restarted my computer, and it still says this and wont sync my steam account with an error. when syncing my xbox and ps5 accounts went smooth. I have no clue why its giving me this error or why it says dead by daylight is open when its been uninstalled too.

    I believe it was logged in on browser too, as Dead by daylight apparently runs in the memory even if you have it closed by quitting the game. So if this helps anyone, you have to close the game with Ctrl+Shift+Esc and use task manager to close it. but also make sure you restart steam on both the app and the website if its auto logged for you there. It worked for me
