Why do Killers have an easier time ranking up?
I'm seriously curious as to why they have an easier time to rank up. I find it ridiculous that a killer can rank up for holding someone's game hostage straight from the get go not letting them do anything else except be on hook so they immediately de-pip, but they get rewarded for this and get to rank up even though they pretty much did it to everyone in the game. How's this fair?

Let's go back to the beginning.
Killers and survivors both piped based on the points they got. Everything was good until survivors complained that killers don't need to kill in order to rank up. Ignoring that survivors don't need to survive to rank up.
Devs introduced the Victory Cube. Which forced killers to kill in order to pip. Hooking every survivor twice was barely a black pip. Killing survivors tho, was a pip.
Killers learned that securing a kill was more important than getting as many chases and hooks as possible.
All while survivors continued with their old ranking system.
Then the devs introduced emblems. Which originally were harder for survivors. Which had to do multiple things in order to pip. But that was to hard for many survivors. Since running 3 gens in circles didn't guarantee a pip anymore. This resulted in high queues for high rank killers.
Killers had to resort to depiping in order to have any matches at all.
Devs made piping much easier for survivors, and here we are, survivors complaining again on how easy it is for killers to pip.
The circle is complete.9 -

"Killers don't have to kill to rank up wtf BHVR"
"Here is the victory cube, Killers now have to kill to rank up"
"Killers use strategies we don't like now wtf BHVR, please change again"
"Okay here is the emblem update, Killers aren't forced to kill to rank up anymore"

As a survivor main you won't gain much by asking the system to be changed yet again, especially withvthe horrible ranking, you will only increase the camping and tunneling so better think twice.8 -
Maybe because you don't need teammates to do things
People play premade because playing solo surv is a pain, but a lot of pain
rank 7, and people still don't repair ANYTHING, i'm tired of being chased for 15 minutes and see all of my teammates on lockers/urban evasion the map searching for a gen half done.i played Killer after 4 seasons, i was rank 18 and in 24h i'm already rank 7.

Killers have an easier time in low ranks vs low rank survivors because the killers goal and how to reach that goal is much more simplistic than the survivors.
Mid ranks I'd say its 50/50 since some survivors have the experience to play well and get the points required while giving the killer a hard time, but you also have Killers with the experience to limit the "time wasting" a survivor can do.
High ranks- I'd say its easier for survivors to rank up since your experience at this point should be enough that you can waste time and play more effectively HOWEVER there are teams that get carried to these ranks from SWF and so Killers who are also experienced can capitalize on this and get their points.
Basically a Killer solely depends on themselves and their performance to rank up (survivors can make it difficult but its still only YOU who makes the decisions for your side of the game)
Survivors to an extent rely on their team and not every team is created equally. A good team normally means an easy pip while a crap team means a more difficult pip or no pip.1
