Mouse input issue (lag) when trying to hit a survivor?

Sometimes, when I try to catch a survivor and hit him for some reason there is an input lag that prevents me from hitting him. Even though I right behind him and I keep clicking but nothing happens. Please don't tell me it's a mouse issue my mouse is fine and I played with three different mice and all have the same issue. I found several people talking about this but yet no response from the devs! here is a someone also mentioning this issue.

( I use a 4k monitor)

It has been happening to me, too. It's really annoying when I play as the Nurse. I blink to someone, game doesn't register M1 - > fatigue, no hit.
