Do "hook gymnastics" shorten summoning phase?

A friend of mine has recently mentioned that so called "hook gymnastics" speed up the timer of the first hook stage, which basically means that you get into second phase faster.

Just to clarify I'm not talking about actually taking a chance to unhook yourself. I'm talking about spamming the self-unhook animation to let the other survivors know that the killer is near the hook.

Since I've never heard anything like that I wanna know if that's true or not

    no, that's a myth like bleeding out faster while moving around the ground. Just measure the time yourself, per hook stage you get a minute even with gymnastics :) only if you complete the unhook atempt you will lose 20 sec
