Hooks spawning in 2v8

Been playing the new 2v8 mode as a survivor, and recently ran into a bug where a hook was placed in front of a cage. I could not save the survivor as there was no interaction available, but the cage teleported away before I could try anymore. Following this I was sent to a cage inside a hook on another side of the map, yet other survivors could save me in that instance.
I did witness another survivor be unable to save a survivor inside a cage with a hook, so I don't think it was just me. I was also told that sometimes 2v8 accidentally sends the players to small versions of maps, so maybe that could be it?
