I'm having fun in 2v8 queuing solo both sides
I wish solo killer queue wasn't so brutal, but I did the first page of the event tome and I'm having fun on both sides. The game feels like it's a lot faster paced and I like that every set of powers you take as survivor or killer comes with something to benefit you and something to benefit your team if you stick with them.
I think, on both sides, this feels much more like a team game, and I enjoy team games.
My experience in solo survivor queue has been that enough people (including me) are always willing to change roles so that we can have a balanced team, and I like that I can pick based on what I feel like doing in any given match. Also, as someone who always plays solo, it's nice to be able to kind of see ahead of time what the plan is and who's focusing which tasks.
If other people also play with a team mindset, it's really fun. My favourite Survivor match so far was one where I was playing Guide and this Lara was a runner, and she played perfectly. She stayed paired with me all match and we would just do a gen then run away, do a gen then run away — during EGC we used her power to run to cages and free people. It worked really well.
On the killer side, I am usually the worst person in the pair, but I'm still able to support the other killer, so I feel like I'm doing something. I had one match where I was clearly the better killer in the pair, and I liked that, too — I was just like, "Where's my buddy? Where's my buddy?" every few minutes, and I'd try to help him out.
IDK. The feeling reminds me of other team games I used to play that don't exist anymore, and it's nice.

I’m glad some people are enjoying it, especially on survivor.
I personally don’t (on survivor at least) and I think it’s a lack of skill expression. I like the faster aspect of the game absolutely though and I think there are things the base game could take from this. However combining perks in unique waysand chases are what I like but most of the time chases are cut short because of the 2v1 and there’s nothing you can do. Killer even gets aura on anyone in a chase making it easy to cut off survivors. Not talking from a balance stand point of course. Just a subjectively fun one. As I said though I’m glad people do like it.Incidentally I do think weaker or newer survivor players will enjoy this more because their chases don’t tend to be as long either way and the faster pace of the game means less time doing nothing meaningful (being slugged, proxy camped and/or tunnelled results in a lot of nothing gameplay which isn’t fun and more likely to happen to less experienced players). No offence intended, not everyone can be good especially at first and I only consider myself so so in chase but having fun in a game should be something where skill level doesn’t matter.
