T-virus coughing way too frequently

Recently I played nemesis in a few games and I noticed a couple survivors were coughing very rapidly. At first I assumed this was some new BM that they could rapidly make themselves cough through some means but during my 3rd game the feng voiced her annoyance about it. I don't know if this applies to all survivors but I know it happens on Mikaela and Feng Min. They would start a cough even before the current one ended.
