How do I fix this cross progression issue?

Hello,

So recently I was trying to link my steam account to my BHVR account that was linked to my xbox. However, it said that my steam was already connected to another account. So I logged into that account, unlinked it, and went to link it again and had the same error pop up. However, if I relinked the account it was on originally it linked with no problem. When I tried unlinking my xbox account to link it to the other account, the same error popped up. However, I could link it back to the account it was on with no problem. Is there a way to fix this? Do I have to go through xbox and steam to disconnect it? Whatever it is I will do, I am just wondering if it's possible. I emailed bhvr, but I figured I should ask on here while waiting for a response.

    You cannot link to separate BHVR accounts, once an account has been linked to a bhvr account it can no longer be linked to a new BHVR account. I see you have a Support ticket in, but I do not think there's anything they will be able to do unfortunately.
