2v8 tome level 2 challenges can be completed in 1v4 mode
I did all the challenges do-able as killer, in normal 1v4 mode. This should not be possible.
Example picture attached, this challenge was completed as Vecna in 1v4 mode.

Unless it states must complete in 2v8 mode they can be done in 1v4. Other events allowed this also.

The whole tome is for 2v8 mode, no need to specify it for the individual challenges in the tome

They have some challenges that say it has to be done in 2v8 mode the ones that don't can be done in 1v4 mode. Not sure why this is bothering you so much it dosen't effect game play and other events have done this before.

This is not a bug at all. The fact that a modifier or game mode comes with its own tome does not mean you have to do all the challenges in that mode only. As stated above, some challenges do require you to play 2 v 8 because they cannot be done normally (like, play one match as Medic).
You can also do most regular tome challenges in 2 v 8, things like escaping chases, getting safe unhooks, healing people etc. It's always been like that and just provides players with some extra stuff to do, without forcing them to play one mode or the other.0
