Unknown Suggestions (bc he's on the roadmap)
So Unknown is on the roadmap for some changes, and I have three simple suggestions that address frustrations on both sides without altering his balance much because he's already in a great spot.
- UVX has a cool-down of 6 seconds (Was 7).
The long cooldown really disincentivizes going for shots because you lose out on so much time when you miss. Reducing it by a second will allow people to play a bit less "safe".
- The UVX blast no longer has a lingering duration.
It is extremely unsatisfying to dodge the blast correctly, then get caught up in the linger, especially when you're in that sandwiched situation approaching a pallet for example. This also allows for the next change.
- Direct hits with the airborne projectile increases the succeeding blast radius by 0.5 meters.
Direct hits with UVX do not feel rewarding, and with how prominent the direct hit sound is, hearing that sound then effectively getting nothing in reward can be disappointing.
The "running at the killer" aspect of Unknown's power is very unique and the last 2 changes will keep the interactions mostly the same while making it feel better on both sides.
