Core Memory: Terrifying Anamnesis Only Works on Escape

Step 1: Collect the 2 Memory Shards
Step 2: Synchronize them with the Archives Portal
Step 3: Fail to Escape the Trial

Instead of completing the challenge, it tells me I have "-1" progress in the challenge and I have to do it again. This has happened to me three times now.

I'm on PC - Steam

EDIT:
Now I had a different bug, where I couldn't pick up the Memory Shards at all.

And wouldn't you know it, I managed to escape that trial. Weirdly enough, it also gave me the "-1" report in that trial.

Edit 2: Can confirm that picking up the Shards and escaping did count properly.

    Same issue - I'd say it's F frustrating to have these simple bugs that SHOULD have been caught before release but it's become normal for DBD to release without full testing.

    I ran into the same issue. I managed to collect both shards and then synchronize them, but upon dying the game told me I got -1/1 progress and it didn't complete as a result.

    Also, the first shard appeared in the ground for me, though I was still able to collect it by running over it.

    PC, Steam, Windows 11.

    Ran into this as well, pretty sure this challenge existed in the past and worked fine even if you didn't escape.

    Same here was frustrating that I had to escape even though I got the points for the portal but I managed the escape.

    Same issue - on Xbox. Did not receive the award by synchronizing when I didn't escape. I cannot yet confirm if escaping solves the issue.

    Edit: I did finally escape and can confirm that did grant the award.

    Today I also ran into the bug where you can't collect the Memory Fragment.

    I was eventually able to complete the challenge by escaping (in 2 v 8).

    Can confirm it does not work if you don't escape, even if you collect the shards and use the portal.

    Also having this issue. Have synchronized twice now but because I didn't escape, never got the challenge completed. Seems like a really simple thing to fix considering we've had this same challenge in the past and never had this issue.

    Partner is currently running into this issues, synchronized in 2 different trials with no successful completion.

    Let me guess: they put an AND command instead of an OR command in the code or for some reason managed to type in - 1 instead of 1

    I have a small update. Escaping via hatch also failed to complete the challenge
