Small boon buffs

Here are some small boon buffs aiming to give players more solo plays (while keeping the team utility identity of these perks) :

  • All boons : after blessing a totem, the HUD will show to all survivors which buffs are applied.

  • Circle of healing : also heal automatically (healing progression bar automatic fill up) injured survivors inside the radius to a maximum of 25%.
    The point of this change is to give a small reliable return for the person who blessed the totem (and their teammates), this also gives a reason for survivors to wait their teammates inside the boon radius instead of leaving the area to get healed.
  • Shadowstep : also reduce the volume of grunts of pain by 50%. This is just a nice little bonus, still weaker than the individual Iron Will perk.
  • Exponential : also show the auras of hooks to all survivors inside the boon radius.
    This will help making plays to sabotage hooks and buy enough time for the survivor on the ground to get a chance to recover.

  • Dark theory : this will also reveal the killer aura if they are 8 meters or less of a survivor inside the boon radius.
    The point here is to survivors a reason to loop the killer inside the radius. It won’t help SWF at all since they can already use com for these kind of info.

  • Illumination : remove the speed bonus to blessing / cleansing and but now also reveal pallets and windows up to 16 meters around the survivor inside the boon radius (maybe less if that’s too strong, Windows of opportunity is still better). This is the noob boon so this buff makes sense to me.

    I'd be wary of buffing CoH, as that was the problem child that ruined Boons as a concept.

    I think Boons are finally in a more or less equitable place now that general buffs are called for.

    Increase the radius a bit.

    Reduce the volume of the sound it makes so it's harder for killers to find.

    Circle of Healing was a big issiue when you could heal yourself with it. And your suggestion makes it even worse than it was before, not a fan.

    How is that worse ? You can't full heal with my suggestion.

    Yeah but you dont even have to waste time to heal yourself to 25% either. You just pass by and heal passively, which hurts time management in the match. You do realize the actions survivors do, especcially healing are supposed to have a cost right? that cost is time. Thats why against some killers healing is crucial (oni for example) while you shouldnt heal against others (legion or plague) because against killers like legion or plague you will waste way too mutch time cleansing/healing.

    That cost is obviously the time blessing.
    The goal of these buffs is to make more reliable what you get in return of wasting time blessing instead of niche scenarios.

    Honestly, all those changes (except the CoH change) are really nice actually. If boons get used more, I can see myself running Shattered Hope more. Would definitely be a nice change.

    We need boons to be a lot more silent, you hear them from a mile away and their range should be increased to 32m, because it’s way too small.

    Your perk buffs are good, but I would do it differently.

    COH: Put self care back onto it, but shattered hope is basekit. I loved this perk and it was one of the best slowdowns for killers back then, so giving killers a basekit counter would make it limited and fair.

    Dark theory: 2% haste for survivors, 2% hindered for the killer and 5% vault speed. If 2% hindered and haste combined is too much, then only the hindered. This perk would be a area buffer to everything in it.

    Exponential like you showing the hook auras and you are silent as downed person. Like you said it would help with saboing while also giving the downed survivor a bit more safety.

    Shadow step makes your foot steps silent. It would fit.

    thats not then mutch of a time management thing when the reward is so big it kidna nullifies the cost.

    Nice buffs to boons, I like them.

    3 things I'd like to add:

    1. Illumination should show you totem auras as well.
    2. Boons should be quieter.
    3. The range of the boons should be a bit bigger. That way, we don't need totem to be in so obvious spots.

    Sorry I forgot to mention it but the last buff was for boon Illumination, I guess you all figured it out. I edited my post.
