Let's talk about Bloodpoints
Hello,
I think people did this before me but I did a calculation of how many points do you need (and the played time so) to properly play the game survivors and killer side.
Since "best" perks are purely subjective, I considered unlocky all perks.
Since all survivors are the same, you don't need to lvl up all of them, just unlock perks and lvl up max one survivor, that takes me to 21.85M BP to have one survivor with all perks.
Killers side is very different, since I have to unlock all perks on all my killers to play them "properly", and that takes me to 99.4M BP
In term of played time, I estimate this to 240h for survivor (while playing survivor) and 994h for killers.
If you lvl up leatherface first, you'll be able to get BBQ on every killer (but still RNG based) , I'll mitigate killers to 700h.
This is a subjective estimation, I'll give you all my assumptions at the end of the post.
So, here's my problem, I have 275h played, not a lot but still respectable. I want to lvl up survivors to play with my friends but I also love to play killer (lot of them). I actually have a proper build on survivor but not a single full build on my killers.
Why is it so unfair ?
I don't know what could be a good solution to adress this issue but acually I'm bored, I play killer to earn points , btw I'm ranking up and getting vs surv with full build while I'm full lvl 1 perk.
Maybe stop upgrading perks one lvl at a time while lvl 40+ could be a good idea or just lowering high lvl bloodweb cost idk.
This is an estimation, you can disagree but stay respectful.
Thank you
Assumptions :
-59 surv perks
-54 killer perks
-1lvl on one perk per bloodweb (so lvl to earn = 3xnumber of perks)
-1M BP to reach lvl 40, 50k BP each lvl afterwards
-14 survivors to up lvl40, one to max
-14 killers to lvl up max
-10 min survivor games for 15k BP in average
-15 min killer games for 25k BP in average

Okay cool, but there is 13 killers not 14.

The grind is real.
I've been trying to get BBQ on 3 different killers for so long now, Im starting to think its not even worth the play time.0 -
1M bp gets me to 35 every time on survivor.
This game certainly does have quite a grind to it. Once I got all characters to level 50 it didn't feel like such a drag though, since I prestige one or two at a time. Sinking bp into P3 characters is more like an end game goal for me tbh, so I'm not too worried about it. Part of the fun for me is being forced to try new builds based on the limitations of what perks rng has bestowed on you.
That being said, it definately feels harsh for those that are more casual players and/or don't play as often. My friend for example plays maybe 8 hours every 1-2 weeks and tends to feel like the game has a grind that's too slow. For me, I'm just glad I still have things to unlock and work towards.
I do understand what you mean though, it costs a lot to fully max any character and unlocking all perks. Especially since they add two characters every three months.0 -
You made an excellent point here. Your goal is to prestige, your goal is to unlock things, but I think the goal should be making it to tank one.
Actually ranking up is so easy that nobody cares, just play and you'll be rank one.
I made it to rank one on surv on winter event. why? just because I played much more than usual for bloodpoints, didn't give a ######### about ranking up, I only wanted bloodpoints, it was my aim
Getting skilled enough to make it to rank one without being limited* by RNG on perks should be the only aim, in my opinion.
But that requires work on ranking system, and it goes beyond my initial topic*so hardly limited

soooooooo.I think you didn't get the point of the post. Did you hear me talk about any prestige ?
Your message as nothing to do on my post. I never talk about prestige but unlocking perks. But thanks for your try0
