Wesker feels frustrating to play on controller
The Problem:
While dashing with Virulent Bound, the player's camera turn rate is instantly slowed down to a fraction of the maximum possible sensitivity until the dash reaches its end point, where normal camera control is instantly restored.
This not only makes lining up follow-up dashes physically impossible outside of a narrow view range, making players rely purely on blind, near frame-perfect muscle memory and prediction to consistently land follow-up dashes at tiles against adept survivors, but it also feels jarring because there is no sensitivity curve. This isn't as much of a problem while using a mouse (and thus never discussed) due to the nature of the input method being absolute, making it easier to course correct and line up another dash in an instant, but on controller the jump in sensitivity is particularly noticeable, and the nature of the input method gives survivors too much time to break line of sight or dodge unless the follow-up dash is executed immediately.
The Solutions:
The way I see it, there are two possible ways of going about making the power feel better to use not only on controller, but any conceivable input method.
- Implement a camera deceleration curve that allows normal camera movement within a certain view threshold, but slows down drastically when turning too far in one direction (as seen on Blight)
- Remove the camera slowdown entirely, but implement a 90 degree turn cap (as seen on Oni & Chucky…or err, at least Chucky anyway considering Oni never got fixed on M&K)
I favor option 2 personally, but whatever works with the least amount of possible bugs would be ideal.
Given BHVR's relatively recent mindfulness when changing killers like Trickster and Singularity to make them more accessible on controller, and with Dracula's wolf form being similar in concept to Wesker, it would be much appreciated to see him get just a little bit of love at some point in the future. Because boy is he way harder to play than he needs to be.

I'd like to add that this problem became more apparent with the way map design has been going recently. It used to be that you could potentially land a dash between tile transitions, so you didn't have to totally rely on blind tile dashes, but now that so many maps have Toba-esque clutter, it's rare that you get to do anything but zone with the power unless you're in an old-style jungle gym.
