Xbox- Trickster no stun

I was playing trickster earlier today and I tried to pop my main event at the last second when I did so the knife was in my hand but it didn't trigger it I could still swing my weapon and pull out knives but until I popped another main event I couldn't get the knife out of my hand. When I popped the second main event everything fixed itself but I had no stun at the end
