Dead by Daylight is turning off Instant Replay

I’m not sure where I should be posting this since it’s not really a bug and I’m more asking here to try and find a solution. I’ve noticed but that Dead by Daylight auto turns off my instant replays and instantly ends any recordings I start on NVIDIA.

After talking with some folks I’ve discovered I’m not alone, other people using both NVIDIA and AMD recording software have it malfunction, and it’s exclusively when playing Dead by Daylight.

I have not experienced any recording troubles with the several other games I play, and with it happening on both GPU softwares it makes me think it could possibly be a DBD issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, have you found a fix? Been getting pretty frustrated with this.

Not long ago, there was a version of Geforce Experience that was bugged and didn't work at all with D12 games, but it is now solved. EDIT: Maybe it is still a thing, as I remembered that the way I solved it was by activating Desktop recording in privacy settings.

Do you have enough space on your recording hard drive? Because usually, the main reason my Instant Replay deactivates the moment I turn it on is because there is not enough space to record anything anymore.

I always have Desktop recording on as I like to make sure I don't miss anything funny when recording. I have plenty of storage, the way it turns off is very similar to when you're out of storage though yes.

I'm not really sure what I can do to try and fix it unfortunately.

No such issue with AMD Relive on my end.

I have been facing this issue for quite some time as well. Thinking it might be caused by the graphics card, I switched from a 3070 to a 4070 and even tried different hardware (I have a desktop with Ryzen + GeForce 4070 and a gaming laptop with Core i9 + 3070 Laptop), but the same issue persists.

If I restart the OS and start the game immediately, it works fine, but I notice that the desktop recording turns off after some time.

I just discovered this was an issue, I wanted to record some clips, but could not. Shadowplay turns itself off.

There's a software called Medal TV that allows you to capture the last 30 seconds or so (the time can be adjusted in the settings), I'm not sure how long you can set it to, but I think 30 seconds is the default.
