After the Castlevania update, the game gets stuck in a black screen, running over 325 FPS, after the initial title screen. I've completely reinstalled the game and the issue is still happening.

Hey, I was having this problem as well. I was practically pulling my hair out after the update, considering I don't use filters or anything. Totally vanilla.

I noticed in the screenshot you are using an NVIDIA product. I'm currently using a GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB graphics card.

Anyway, after about an hour, I managed to get past that black screen and to the loading prompt. What I ended up doing was updating the GeForce Experience program. My driver version was something terribly outdated. After updating GeForce, I'm now on driver 560.94.

No reboot was necessary. Once GeForce Experience finished updating, I launched Dead By Daylight through Steam and so far so good. Just a moment ago I got stuck on the "Initializing Shaders", which is minor and/or completely unrelated.

But, yeah, try seeing if your GeForce Experience is up-to-date. Hopefully this helps. I actually had to create a forum account so I could reply and (possibly) not also leave you in the dark. 😅
