black box on large portion of screen

since the 8.2.0 update, a large black box has begun obscuring the majority of my screen, seemingly when i'm looking in the right directions. Only experienced this as of the update today.
on menus it's behind the UI
Does not stop showing up even after restarting game.

issues persist after verifying integrity of game files and after reinstalling the game

good news!! updating to the latest graphics drivers for my gpu appears to have resolved this issue! my bad for not thinking of doing this sooner :)
